homework # 1

This was our first homework for Film Production at the University of Washington. We had to film a short sequence using a wide shot, an extreme wide shot, a medium shot, and a close-up shot.

There were three of us in the group, and we had to film our own version of the project. It was a great way to see how we all approach the same story differently.

We put all our individual shots together to create the final clip. It was a fun way to learn the ropes and see our ideas come to life on screen.

The entire clip was shot using an iPhone and a drone, then edited directly on the phone. Because I was talking in the background, I muted the original audio, recorded my own footsteps, and synced them with their footsteps.

I used a free app, LightCut, for all editing. Since I don’t have sound library, I used sounds from TikTok.

To keep the audio synchronized with frame transitions without using beat markers or pre-selecting music, I timed my clips to last exactly one second or a half second.
